Every inch of this fire truck

seems to say,"I'm here to help and serve."  

Offering a helping hand?  Yes they do!  

Members of our local fire department

made a special effort to reach every child

at Parkside, during the recent

Fire Safety Week.

They even provided a free smoke

detector to any family who needed one.

Honored Artist

We're so very excited to give

a special "shout out" to P.J.H.S.

sixth grader, Mr. Dawson Pinkstaff!

Last year he created a poster in our Creative Literacy class and his teacher Mrs. Felty entered his design in an annual contest that supports contributions bus drivers
make to the safety of school children.

His artwork was selected as the "best in show,"

from student entries across Illinois.
