A Final November School Day

 Fresh from Thanksgiving break,
our students are busy with weekly lessons.

A bit of "Monday morning math!"

Today from 7:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
adults came to our circle drive to deliver
packets of completed homework & then
picked up new lessons or Chromebooks.
Thank you!

Saturday Smiles

Bright & early, on school days:
preparations for hungry students.

Our thanks!

Meanwhile, some kids "are
cooking" with learning math skills!

Vocabulary games, always perfect.

A Weekly Reader story & doing research.
Did you know that since 1963, the
U.S. President "pardons" a turkey
in November, before Thanksgiving?

What's this....a "new" student?

Our moods are always finer,
with the unconditional love of a dog!

Sunday Smile

Placing flags around school last week, it was our
good fortune to show appreciation to the men
and women who give of themselves.
Thank you to all veterans
who in the past
 as well as the present,
protect,
serve, and defend us!

Cherish the Veteran

The meaning of Veterans Day is an important part of the learning
process for the students of CUSD #20.  Each year we are proud
to celebrate our veterans.  Our celebration will have to be different
this year because of the restrictions that are a part of our lives right now.

To show respect and admiration to our heroes who have served our country,
CUSD #20 will be placing flags on the grounds of each school.  Each student
will plant a flag to represent those  who have served, past and present.
We encourage all veterans to drive by each school and know this
is our way of honoring your great service.

You can see the flags by driving west on Cedar Street, past Parkview.
At Parkside, you can enter the grounds through the north driveway,
on Cedar Street, and exit by the football stadium.  From there, you
can cross Porter Avenue and enter Lawrenceville High School grounds,
then exit out the driveway by SipIt on James Street.  The flags will be
visible by the end of the day on Monday November 9th.  The viewing
route will be open Tuesday November 10th and Wednesday November 11th.

All the teachers, staff and students of CUSD #20 want to show respect
and gratitude to our amazing veterans.  We thank you for your service
and we hope you enjoy our flag display to honor you on Veterans Day.

Let the Love Affair Begin!

Back again at school last week, we were all happy to
see Mrs. Hurt.  This tiny, beautiful little girl made
her appearance into the world
two months ago,
making Mrs. Hurt a brand new mom!

Jerremiah & Haley Hurt are the proud parents of
Miss Loxley Danielle, born on Saturday August 29th.  She
weighed eight pounds, nine ounces & measured
20.5 inches long.

Isn't she perfect?
