Cause for Celebration!
Finding a one hundred dollar bill?
Solving one hundred tricky puzzles?
Master counting from one to one hundred?
Better than all those things, Parkside
celebrated the 100th day of our school year!
#LotsOfFun
Every minute matters,
every youngster matters,
every bit of imagination matters!
"The secret of genius is to carry the spirit
of the child into old age, which means
never losing your enthusiasm."
~Aldous Huxley

New Arrivals
An envelope, a small box, and
one very heavy carton arrive at school.
The return address: Donors Choose!
Just what we want for
our book cart, brand new stories!
our book cart, brand new stories!
You know, the surprise or fantastic
feeling you get when discovering
new things you can read all by yourself?
Chapter books, picture books, a DVD.
It is a regular treasure trove of goodies.
"Bless those people for believing
in us and paying for these," said one boy.
Yes, we couldn't have said it better!
This school year, many Parkside
children have benefitted from
generous individuals and
"gifts" to our school.

Friday Flashback
As 1st semester ended, we celebrated
the accomplishments of those who are
weaving the habits into their daily lives.
Choosing to "Be Proactive"
I am a responsible person.
I am in charge.
I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods.
"Beginning with The End in Mind"
I plan ahead and set goals.
I do things that have meaning and make a difference.
I'm an important part of my class & the school community.
"Putting First Things First"
I spend my time on things that are the most important.
I say "no" to things I know I should not do.
I am disciplined and organized.
Thank you for supporting each
and every effort youth make across
our school community, to learn and grow.
