Mrs. Hayes called all of us to gather in the gym.

News?  An announcement of some kind...we wondered.

Then a woman appeared, looking for Mrs. Gray.

(We think Principal Hayes was keeping a secret!)

Our Kristi Gray was named
a 2026 Golden Apple educator!

WTHI-TV News Director Susan Dinkel 

made the surprise announcement.

There was no keeping Mrs. Gray's class in their seats.

Being a part of this history is pretty exciting.
