Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater

Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater
Had a wife but couldn't keep her.
Put her in a pumpkin shell
and there he kept her very well.

Nursery rhymes are a part of daily instruction for kindergarten pupils in The Reading Room. Today we introduced one that was unfamiliar to most of the children.  So listening to and discussing each stanza made for some interesting comments:

"She should have told her husband-- NO way!"
"Oh my, how slimy that would have been.
"I think it would have been too cramped in a pumpkin."
"What was he thinking?"
"You are kidding me!  Is this for real?"
"I am not sure that he's a very nice person."

A Special Night....Ladies NIght at LHS

Thursday January 31st the Lawrenceville High School Basketball Lady Indians made history.

Under the guidance of coaches Misty Bellville and Chelsea Buher they played the final home game of the 2012-2013 season.  It was also the last contest the team will ever play in the LHS gym.
Players celebrated the evening in style by delivering the 400th win of the program.

We tip our hats to the athletes, coaches, and teachers who are a part of this history.
Some Lady Indians are former Parkside Elementary pupils whose success as students, athletes,
and young women in our community is something to be proud of.  Congratulations to
the players, coaches, families, and the many supporters of Unit 20's athletic programs.
It was a night to remember at Lawrenceville High School gym.Click on the images below to make them bigger.
