A Little Sunshine

Recently Lawrenceville High School senior
Mattie White took part in helping Parkside
first-graders make Sunshine Bags.  These gifts are
given to children entering local emergency rooms. 

Each bag is decorated by a pupil and filled with

crayons, doodle pads, and toys. A Sunshine Bag also
includes a letter of encouragement written by its maker. 

School officials said they appreciate the many
generous donations received for the project,
enabling first-graders to create a total of 150
Sunshine Bags.  2014 marks the 20th year of

children creating and being able to gift others.
