Think You Might Like This!

Nothing like life in our hometown, Lawrenceville, Illinois.
It's almost Christmas & another project 5th graders in Mrs. Waggoner's class are involved
in is  collecting canned goods for others.  Now that's a great plan, kind of "magical!"

Sunday Thought

"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try."

Our 5th graders are collecting dog & cat food,
to make a donation to the Lawrence County Humane
Society before we start winter break on December 21st.
Thanks in advance for helping them make a difference.

Lawrence County Courthouse Clock Ringing Again!

Lawrence County Illinois Courthouse Clock Restoration - installation and bell ring test.
Take a climb with Mr. Ed Brumley to the top of the courthouse clock and bell tower.
A special "Thanks!" goes to Mr. David Burgett for starting this process.  History in
in the making; we can all hear the bell ringing again on the square!

A special day, this November 6, 2012

Thank You Anita Tuttle & Young Artists!

Have you seen the Smiley Faces up on the square?   This artwork is designed as a part of The Lawrence County Courthouse Restoration Project.  School children from The St. Francisville Christian Academy, as well as those in Units #10 & 20 participated in creating the faces.  Mrs. Tuttle organized Parkside Elementary's contribution.  Enjoy the new "look" while the Counthouse Clock is being repaired.    We can learn more by following the project and progress here:
