A Favorite Treat

We saw our dog in the street
He was eating his favorite treat
For he really loves pork meat
I told him he was going to get beat
If he didn't get back across the street!

Baseball

Running all four bases
Fielding the ball
Look for the laces,
And hit the baseball!

On a Hike

I went on a hike with my dog Spike
And we ran into a boy named Mike.
Who was on his Schwinn bike
With a small dog that Spike liked.
Oh yes, my dog and I had a really great hike!

Trip to the Candy Store

Pepe and I went to the candy store by
opening up the humongous door.
Both of us slipped on the wet floor and
The people in the store heard a loud "roar"
As we left, I felt really sore!

My Goat Pete

I have a goat named Pete
He likes to eat our field of wheat.
He has funny looking feet and
Out in the sun, he turns as red as a beet.
Oh my, Pete is so sweet.

Candy on the Beach

I like to eat candy but
Not on the beach because it's sandy.
The grit in my teeth
Just wouldn't be dandy.

The Wind

The wind blows hard
Tearing up my yard
Tree limbs falling and
     Mother Nature calling.

On a Hunt

I was hoping to find a golden
egg on my Easter egg hunt,

but instead saw someone
doing a bicycle stunt!

When mom picked up a huge
egg, she let out a loud "grunt."

Mudcat Baseball

The Mudcats take the field.
It's time to make the plays.
Three up, three down,
The inning goes the Mudcats' ways.

Batting is next,
Step up to the plate.
After we win,
Monicals is our date!

Our team was the best,
We came out with a win.
The Olney Tournament was ours,
Let's go do it again.                         ~Jared

Easter Egg Hunting, Why Yes!

Beautiful Saturday in
The Lawrenceville City Park

 Special guests too

 Smile and say, "Carrots"

 Team-work gets the job done

Those eggs seemed to be everywhere

Scurrying and hurrying

With lots of different bags and baskets

  Finding lots of goodies

More beautiful smiles

Yes, twice as nice

Lots of families get in on the fun

 And make memories for everyone

Thanks to all the volunteers
from Parkside Elementary's P.T.O. and
The City of Lawrenceville
for helping make this event possible!

It was flying really high!

A Ride to School

I was riding my bike to school
On my way there
I saw a huge pool
And boy, was it cool!
Oh to run and jump in
But I'm not a fish,
I don't have a fin.

If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em

As parents often do
Mom buys one extra
or maybe even two
Packages of Peeps.

She stocks up early for
Her kids will beg
and want more
Packages of Peeps.

"Oh" mom says with a sigh,
"Why on earth did I buy
Those extra
Packages of Peeps?"

Easter is still days away
And poor Mom
She really can't stay
Out of those Packages of Peeps!

Monday's Motto

Willy and Billy

I have a pig named Willy
and he is so very silly
He has a friend named Billy.
One likes to play the kazoo
And the other goes to the zoo.
