"Rocking Out"

Yes......when you drop your kids off

and are on-the-way to work,

only to realize that you're still

"rocking out" to Old McDonald Had a Farm!

Annual Illinois Spring Classic--Hooray!

Kids Shopping Day of Lawrence County
held their annual 5K & Half Marathon
event at Parkside, on March 26th.

Proceeds go toward helping children
receive everything they need to start
the school year off right:  clothes, shoes,
toiletries, supplies, backpacks and much more!

Our very own Miss Lawrence County
Bailey L. Adams joined in to wish the runners well.

These brothers had things
covered at
the two-mile-marker.

Lots of cheering at the finish line!

 Smiles all around

Supporting Kids Shopping Day "runs in the family."

Participating with a buddy makes a wonderful difference.

We salute all who took part in Saturday's event!

Thank you, thank you to the
many volunteers & participants!

What's Cooking?

Yesterday was the first day of spring

break and we were up way too early!

The smoke alarm was beeping,

saying "low battery."

Then my daughter yells

from the other room,

"what are you cooking?"

Wow- what an effort!

Drum roll:  we wish to reveal your
winners in our Monical's fundraising event.

The top sales person was Mr.
Gabe Van Bibber, with total of 67 pies!

The family who combined for the most
pizza sales was Miss Olivia Brush

sisters sold 44 pizzas apiece!

Congratulations to all three;
their individual classes will

Friday Surprise

It was "The First" pep session for some,
when the L.H.S. Indians came to visit.

That's pretty special for us!
We ran into them in the hall, by the gym.

We came with our signs.

Some of us spotted loved ones, like Poppy.

Others were happy to see big brothers.

All the cheerleaders were right there!

Coach Bishop told us to reach
for our
dreams, like these players do.
He's very proud of the entire team.

The Indians left us for
their big game, after school.

We know they're all extraordinary.
It was a day Parkside will never forget.
