The Senior Walk-Through

Friday May 19th finally arrived.
We anticipated guests, and here they
all came, right through Parkside's front entrance.
Finishing their days in high school, as graduates...
Parkside students in each wing were excited.
Oh happy day!
Welcoming the L.H.S. seniors is a big deal.
What a privilege, meeting "The Class of 2023" in person!
Congratulations to each and every one.

Our school community is proud
 and happy for the accomplishments
of each student, along with their families.

Celebration Time, Come On!

Hooray for a unique day.

There were games...

There was dancing...

...and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

There were tour guides to accompany our guests...

...ensuring that questions were answered & things ran smoothly.

The folks at City Hall shared special news...

Mayor Mr. David Courtney proclaimed
May 5th as Leadership Day for our school!

Thanks to our student panel who explained why habits in
 "The Leader in Me" program
do make a positive difference.

This Day in May

The beauty of a springtime is more precious
when we witness how much our pupils have grown
since the school year dawned upon us all, last August.
Violets like gems in
the sunshine and lush grasses
are much like children.
Youngsters learn with a
guiding hands, good books, and the
promise of support.

"Take 5 for the Community"

Mr. Arvin Hawkins welcomed us to WAKO Radio today
in order to share details about an upcoming celebration.

Layla Aiken & Jace Lemeron gave details about the history of
Parkside's "The Leader in Me" program.  We're also
hosting special activities at school on May 5th.

Joseph Mendenhall & Leslee Barnett mentioned some
of the guests joining us this Friday, while giving hints
about the activities being prepared for our visitors.

If success is all about "growing" yourself, they're doing it.
