A Day We'll Not Soon Forget

Pupils from Red Hill & Lawrenceville High School hosted a
2023 "Ag Day" last week for visitors and guests, on the L.H.S. campus.
BIG thanks to folks like Stacy McKim, for loaning her horse to the event
to ensure that the high schoolers had a wide variety of animals for guests to see.
So much help behind the scenes, by so
many, went into making this event successful.

For young people "up-close and personal" opportunities
to see animals both large & small, is something quite special.
There were several types of fowl including
chickens, turkeys, ducks, and roosters on display for onlookers.
Lots of questions from guests & great guides to patiently answer each one!

Beautiful varieties of rabbits were also part of the event.
It's not every often one gets to pet a baby lamb!
This horse of course, was something amazing to behold for many children.
We have to hand it to the tour guides, who patiently answered many questions.
High schoolers boosted onlookers up on the seats of tractors....way up
#SitWithAFarmer
Tractor cabs are cool!
So many interesting things to discover on farm machinery.
"We really needed a lot more time....for exploring," the twins said.
There were samples of popcorn to enjoy while,
guests learned about other foods that farmers help produce.
Children got to pick bean, watermelon, or a cucumber seed to plant.
Thanks for helping the children prep the seeds, to take home.

About One Week From Now

We're joyfully anticipating our celebration on May 5th.
"Leadership Day" is a mere 9 days away!
Classes are planning presentations for guests.
There will be musical duos, and why not?
Lessons have led us to travel creative pathways...
...with unique and beautiful results.
Children have goals & dreams.
We're dedicated to supporting them.

Are You Smiling?

+
A proud pose with his Acellus science certificate...
...and a passerby congratulates him.
A "PreK" hug between aunt & niece.
Friendships are essential, as you can see.

Sunday Smile: The Launch

April 14th was the date, long awaited by many.
For the Grays, it's a family affair.
Out at Ed Loeb Field, guests arrive and  2nd graders
each get an opportunity to "set up" their hand-built rocket.
The launch pad is on the edge of the football field.
Students are eager to take their turn at that area.
#TheCrafts
That Friday, it was quite a windy afternoon!
A full house of guests, with so many friends & families.
"Together is better!"
Once their craft's in place, pupils move back to a power
source, the battery that would ignite & help "fuel flight."
If present, YOU were invited to take part in the countdown!
All eyes on the launch site...
Once each rocket lands, loud cheers go up.
Owners hurried out into the
football field or beyond, to retrieve their craft.
A day to remember!
Setting goals & moving towards
accomplishment is what it's all about.

Thanks to all who attended the launch
and congratulations to these second graders!

Picture This!

Leadership Day 2023 is coming May 5th.

That calls for preparations galore...
including one-and-all across Parkside's grades,

and everyone getting into a "celebration" spirit.
It's 19 days from now!

At our playground there were dances,
on a "picture perfect" Friday morning.

We clapped our hands & stomped our feet...

it was pretty easy to keep the beat.

You should have been there!
Leaders make sure everyone is included...

that's how we operate because it's important to cooperate.
