can leave the gym & start the trips home.

 Lawrence County  Farm Bureau Agriculture Literacy Coordinator Jaeleigh Waller was a recent guest at Parkside.  

It's not everyday someone visits us
and parks a combine right next to Ed Loeb Field!

We learned some important facts:

Illinois is the #2 corn producing state in the country!

AND

We produce more soybeans than any other state in the U.S.

Farms locally & across the state provide

food, fuel, and jobs for thousands of Illinois residents.

We also met Lawrence County Farm Bureau Manager Kacie Haag, who answered questions and invited any interested
pupil to climb into the cab of the combine.

 We have a beautiful welcoming duo at school.

We get those classroom duties done, no problem.

1st Thing Each Morning

 

This Parkside class begins each school day with exercise.

It was "teachers choice" and Mrs. Mikeworth
 selected a workout to strengthen the arms,
lead by Coach Nick @StudentFit.

5th graders grab a "weight of choice:" water bottle,
 pencil case, backpack--whatever feels best for each individual.

Proactive "can do attitudes" enable positive things.
Thanks for showing up & making exercise 

an essential part of time spent together.
