A Special October

"Boots Up," during Red Ribbon Week.

Did you hear Mrs. Ryan's class grew pumpkins?

Giddy-up!

Mrs. Morgan recently accompanied
her father on his Honor Flight, to Washington D.C.

Pupils made cards for Mrs. Morgan's
dad, during art classes.  Thank you Mrs. Shick!
Hooray!  The Cozy Cup Cafe is
 open again
and the entire staff is amazing!

Learning Together Works Well

Ready for "Throwback Thursday"
and memories from the winter of 2018?
Parkside's very own entrepreneurs shared their goals!

The twins have a history of caring
for chickens, gathering eggs, and creating
a small business with support from family.
Time for "show and tell,"
along with many questions.
Learning together works well.
#ThankYouBoys
It's important to show consideration
for the thoughts & opinions of others!

All throughout JANUARY we'll be practicing
 Habit #4, "Win-Win"

Out and About

  #4for40 *Message Number 40

Preparing for coming experiments to discover just what
is possible for the second year of Parkside's Garden Club adventures.
These beds, once planted, will be hosting tulips in the springtime.

Cleanup chores include removing traces of old plants and raking the soil.

Gardeners discovered some stray potatoes from last year.

Dirty hands from digging in those beds...no problem.

Together is Better!

  #4for40 *Message Number 39

Setting goals with classmates is a sure way to recognize
how grand any success that comes feels.  We know "together is better!"
Mrs. Stevenson's Kindergarteners' winning ways are mastering counting numbers.

Mrs. Cochran's 1st Graders were victorious in Parkside's grade level competition .

Bravo to these 2nd Graders, Mrs. Gray's Reflex winners.

There was no stopping Mrs. Wallace's 3rd Graders in the Reflex challenge.
Congratulations!

Looking Toward Tomorrow

  #4for40 *Message Number 38

A promising future belongs to us because those who care for,
and prioritize the well being of children, shall be a part of shaping it.

Kindness and care will always win the day.

Learning to work alongside others makes for a lot of fun.
Start small, keep going, and build your dreams.
When we're helpful & set good examples, wonderful things happen.

It's All Good

 #4for40 *Message Number 37

When you're able to commit to a task and
finish it with grace and honor, it's a special gift.

Ms. Terri enjoyed delivering quotes to the staff.

Undertaking this task was an honor.

Spreading positivity was essential for her, for everyone.

Sweets, messages, memories...it's all good.

Celebrating Our Youth

#4for40 *Message Number 36

Pupils create history each day.|
That's something to celebrate and be very proud of.

We're celebrating these Preschoolers, each one is truly "in charge."
Meet Kindergartners who are Parkside's VIPs or "Very Important People."
Our First graders have positive attitudes and make great things happen.

Second graders are next and we could not be more proud of each one.
Excited about these Third graders, who think carefully before making decisions.
Meet Fourth graders with high standards for themselves and our school.
These Fifth graders are taking initiatives to succeed.
We recognize and salute each one for being an important role model.

Have "Joy" and a Plan

 #4for40 *Message Number 35

First and always, balance.

It's essential that we believe in all our children.

Nurturing them is important, if one cares about the future.

Change starts from within, often in small but steady ways.

Over time, learners develop unique and special talents that we can celebrate!
