WAKO Radio professional Mr. Arvin Hawkins invited us to

explain details of our "Family Reading Night" celebration.

Kendrick's research of the event, sponsored by the
 State Librarian, has been celebrated in Illinois for over 30 years.

Hayden reported that Mrs. Hayes feels the evening will be a

fine way for guests to celebrate a love of books & learning.

She's hosted lots of fun and laughter, for 18 years.

Did you know we have an annual school-wide reading goal

of 30,000 AR points?  Lynnex mentioned Mrs. Hayes and

teachers challenge us to read both at home & in school. 

Aubrey revealed a special, new treat at the event this year.  
Fourth graders researched leaders across history & have recreated their stories for you to enjoy.  Come and hear
how Parkside's "Famous Persons Project" comes alive!

pumpkins that Mrs. Ryan's students planted on our campus
 

There's no lack of creativity or fun in our Preschool classes.

When writing, Mrs. Stevenson's Kindergarteners are mastering  

the use of handy little "Spacemen" to include spaces between words.  

We're celebrating "Family Reading Night," (4:00 - 6:30 P.M.) 

on Thursday November 20th.  Save the date and join in on all the fun! 

We're "on-the-way" to achieving our reading goal of 30,000 + AR points.

Mr. Bailey's third graders' writing project is reaching

out to a favorite professional football team or a business.
