Fun in Our Media Center!

Children love to be read to; it's magical.
Their imaginations & vocabularies flourish.
Mrs. Banks helped us celebrate "Curiosity Day" with George, a favorite friend whose antics
have entertained readers for 79 years!
Thanks in advance for making
stories "come alive" for special boys & girls.

Sunday Smile- 9/20/2020

Step into this school and you'd quickly see

"responsible boys & girls."

Each community of learners help manage
their classroom, take on special tasks, and then
guide one another if someone needs assistance.

The best thing is that our children
often lend a "helping hand" even
when no one's looking!

Tremendous Tuesday- 9/15/2020

How about counting on a responsible child to politely take messages and then accurately
relay important information back to you
 throughout the school day?

We've got you covered!

Sunday's "Sneak Peek" - 9/13/2020

We feel learning must include challenge, variety, choices, and moments of sheer joy for all involved.

Outside, Mr. Williams will lead the way......

Don't worry, the water "feels fine."

Yes, many will be showing off their talents.
Thanks to these folks for paving the way for us because you can never, ever underestimate the importance of having fun.  "Together is better!"

Growing Green

 September's Habit:  Be Proactive!

We take the initiative to get jobs done. Having a "can do"
attitude is at the root of accomplishing good things.

Championing Learners is What's Important

Colleagues are a wonderful thing.  Yet
mentoring, that's where the real work gets done.

Marissa Routien will soon complete
her  Bachelor's Degree in Elementary
Education, from Eastern Illinois University.

We welcome Miss Routien as she
 completes
student teaching alongside
 Mr. Samuel Mikeworth.  As a
child, math was her favorite subject.

Mr. Mikeworth teaches 3rd grade,
coming to education after studying &
performing professionally in the
theater.  He's
passionate about projects.

Did we mention she's a dog
lover and adores
Ruger & Wrigley?

He's wild about this duo of dachshunds,
Miss Phyllis Vance & Mr. Dunder Mifflin.
