Mark Your Calendar

This event is back for Lawrence County children on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

It will take place from 8:30 A.M. until 2:30 P.M. at The Central Christian Church, located at 303 Buchanan Drive in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Each child will receive two outfits, six pair of underwear, six pairs of socks, tennis shoes, a backpack full of the age appropriate school supplies, and hygiene items. Free hair cuts will also be offered.

Children must be present to receive their items.

Did you miss the pre-registration? It's not too late. Interested adults can come to the Central Christian Church on Saturday August 7th (between 8:00 & 8:30 A.M.) to register. You'll then be given a time to come back later in the day with your child(ren) and do the shopping.

Masks are recommended;

the sponsors will have them available.

Parkside's online registration is July 26 through Friday the 30th.

Parents of returning students can log
into their TeacherEase account to register. 

 
Parents of new students need to register in person
 at Parkside Elementary School's Community Room:   

Thursday July 29th (1:00 to 7:00 P.M. )

 or

Friday July 30th (8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.).

No appointment is necessary.

Preschool Screenings at Parkside

ROE 12 and Lawrence County Unit #20 proudly announce their Pre-K Screenings/Pre-Registration for the 2021-2022 year on Wednesday August 11th at Parkside Elementary School in Lawrenceville.

All 3 and 4-year-old children are invited to take part in developmental screenings. When completed, a youngster's results are shared with parents and or guardians.

To be eligible, a child must be 3-years-old by September 1st. Once completed, screened youth can then be placed on a waiting list for the upcoming school year.

Call the ROE 12 Offices at 618.544.2719 for an appointment.

Children do not need to attend if they have already been screened.

Thursday Came....and Went!

 Miss Emily brought Gabby to share in some fun,

during the final full day of our school year.

Gabby and our leaders, a great combination!

How about a day of reading on the beach?

Well....... we have no beach but we do

have a lovely "Butterfly Garden."

So Mrs. Wells' 1st graders made the

most of a beautiful, sunny Thursday morning.

These leaders got quite comfortable....

Hmmm, did you hear some ocean

waves lapping against the shore line...?

Meanwhile, Miss Boehl's 2nd graders

surprised her with their own book,

"Recipes for a Happy Marriage."

Of course they wanted to include some

photographs.  Their "bride-to-be" will

be a Mrs. when we all come back to school.
