Kurtis Potts, Lawrence Allison Fire Protection District firefighter, gave awards to Parkside Elementary School coloring contest and essay winners Friday. The contests were part of fire protection week held recently and the winners were chosen by the firefighters. Winners include: in no particular order: Kenzie Gray, Jayci Potts, Kourtney Kasinger, Kourtney Sholders, Maya Mullins, Alexia Petty, Christina Lockhart, Emily Duncan, Ethan Lake, Kaya Tredway, Wyatt Halter, Raycee Cates, Addalynn Newlin, Emily O’Dell, Alivia Lewis and Samuel Waterman. Brenna White and Knox Gray also won but were unavailable for the photo. The winners received a certificate for Alfonso’s Pizza Palace.
