A Day We'll Not Soon Forget

Pupils from Red Hill & Lawrenceville High School hosted a
2023 "Ag Day" last week for visitors and guests, on the L.H.S. campus.
BIG thanks to folks like Stacy McKim, for loaning her horse to the event
to ensure that the high schoolers had a wide variety of animals for guests to see.
So much help behind the scenes, by so
many, went into making this event successful.

For young people "up-close and personal" opportunities
to see animals both large & small, is something quite special.
There were several types of fowl including
chickens, turkeys, ducks, and roosters on display for onlookers.
Lots of questions from guests & great guides to patiently answer each one!

Beautiful varieties of rabbits were also part of the event.
It's not every often one gets to pet a baby lamb!
This horse of course, was something amazing to behold for many children.
We have to hand it to the tour guides, who patiently answered many questions.
High schoolers boosted onlookers up on the seats of tractors....way up
#SitWithAFarmer
Tractor cabs are cool!
So many interesting things to discover on farm machinery.
"We really needed a lot more time....for exploring," the twins said.
There were samples of popcorn to enjoy while,
guests learned about other foods that farmers help produce.
Children got to pick bean, watermelon, or a cucumber seed to plant.
Thanks for helping the children prep the seeds, to take home.
