April 14th was the date, long awaited by many.
For the Grays, it's a family affair. Out at Ed Loeb Field, guests arrive and 2nd graders
each get an opportunity to "set up" their hand-built rocket. The launch pad is on the edge of the football field. Students are eager to take their turn at that area. That Friday, it was quite a windy afternoon! A full house of guests, with so many friends & families. Once their craft's in place, pupils move back to a power
source, the battery that would ignite & help "fuel flight." If present, YOU were invited to take part in the countdown! All eyes on the launch site... Once each rocket lands, loud cheers go up. Owners hurried out into the
football field or beyond, to retrieve their craft. Setting goals & moving towards
accomplishment is what it's all about.
